Congresswoman Candice Miller said in a statement following passage yesterday of various tax measures: “the idea of allowing taxes to rise on every American family and small business was completely unacceptable to me and those who I serve. The measure we passed today will stop income taxes from increasing for 98% of Americans. “While this deal was not perfect, it was certainly better than the alternative which would have been a more than $500 billion tax increase on our economy in 2013 alone. She said that she was very disappointed that it did nothing to address spending.
