The holiday season is here and with that comes the heightened risk of danger. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon says as you make the rounds for holiday gifts, make sure you're also keeping your mind on safety. The Sheriff says to lock your purchases in the trunk rather than leaving them in the car where others can see them. He says the best bet is to be aware of your surroundings at all times and have your keys in-hand before reaching your car so you don't have to stop and search for them. As for going to that holiday or Christmas party, Donnellon says make sure you have a designated driver for after the celebration, because it's no holiday getting pulled over for drunk driving.
