A single vehicle accident claimed the life of a Berrien Springs resident early Saturday morning in Sanilac County. The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Minden Township mishap also resulted in the serious injury to the 18-year-old driver of the pickup truck involved. Officials believe both speed and alcohol were factors in the crash which happened when the driver apparantly lost control, went into a ditch, and struck several trees along Maurer Road.
