The American League Silver Sluggers Award winners were announced on Thursday.  The Detroit Tigers had two recipiants with first baseman Prince Fielder and third baseman Miguel Cabrera both winning.  Cabrera, who won the Triple Crown, led the league hitting over 330 with 44 home runs and 139 RBI, while Fielder hit 313 wirh 30 home runs and 108 RBI this past season.  The Silver Slugger is awarded to the player who has the best offencive season at each position in the league.
