Five area teams survived the first round of the high school football playoffs setting up four second round games for next week. In Division 3, St. Clair (9-1) will get a home game against Detroit East English (8-2) at East China Stadium. In Division 4, BWAC rivals Richmond (7-3) and Cros-Lex (10-0) will meet at Cros-Lex. The Pioneers won the regular season meeting on a last minute touchdown. In Division 5, Almont (7-3) is on the road at unbeaten River Rouge (10-0). And in 8-man football quarterfinal action, Deckerville (9-1) will host NCTL rival Kinde North Huron (6-4). The Eagles won the regular season meeting between the two teams. Games will be played either Friday or Saturday.
