The defending state champs had their hands full on Friday night, but Brother Rice finally pulled away from Port Huron High late in the third quarter at Memorial Stadium on their way to a 47-26 first round playoff win over the Big Reds. Mark Chapman rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns for Port Huron High and Carl Portis-Hollier added two other touchdowns while rushing for 43 yards. Brother Rice was led by Brian Walker who had 200 yards rushing and 4 TD's. Shon Powell added 127 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
