EARLY BOARD MEETING FRIDAY

Some changes coming in the form of teacher evaluations in the Port Huron Area School District.  A special meeting Friday morning sees the board voting on a new framework....proposed by the state under new mandates.  Board of Education President Jeffrey Stout says the changes can not only help the district in evaluations but teachers in improving themselves compared to past programs. He says in many cases teachers can find specific areas that need improvement based on the evaluation. The meeting itself is an early riser....6:30 at McKinley along Riverside Drive.  The earlier time will allow teachers to attend before class and corresponds better to the schedules of the individual board members.
