Tigers A Win Away From The Series



The Detroit Tigers took a 3-0 lead in the ALCS on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over the New York Yankees at Comerica Park.  Justin Verlander held the Yankees off the board until a lead off solo home run in the top of the ninth, he finished allowing just that run and only three hits for his third win of this post season.  Phil Coke got the final two outs of the game for his second straight save.  Delmon Young hit a home run for the Tigers and Miguel Cabrera added an RBI double.  Game four is Wednesday night in Detroit.
