Young Saves Tigers In Game One

Delmon Young had three hits and drove in three runs as the Detroit Tigers beat the New York Yankees in game one of the ALCS in 12 innings 6-4 on Saturday night.  Young helped stake the Tigers to a 4-0 lead in the game with an RBI single and a solo home run, making him the all time leader in post season home runs in Detroit history with six.  The Yankees however, hit two two-run home runs off Jose Valverde in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game and force extra innings, where Young came through again, with the go ahead RBI double in the 12th.  Game two of the series is Sunday 4 PM.
