October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Studio1219 in Port Huron is putting their own creative twist on things. For the 6th year in a row they're supporting the cause with different shows as well as their annual Bra Art Contest and Bra Auction. Local artists create tasteful artistic bras to be displayed and voted on for $1 through out the month at the public art facility, but that's not the only place you can place your vote. Studio1219 General Manager Jan Prusik, says there are several businesses involved in the showings too including some bars and restaurants. Other activities for the month include and a night of "Power and Poetry" coming up on the 19th and tomorrow’s Lunafest, a traveling film festival. Half of the proceeds raised during the month of October will go to the Studio1219 Breast Cancer Fund, which assists uninsured or under-insured women of St. Clair County.
