A Don Kelly sac-fly in the bottom of the ninth drove in the game winning run as the Tigers beat the Oakland A's 5-4 to take a 2-0 series lead in their ALDS. The game was a pitchers duel tied at 1-1 through six innings, but the teams then traded the lead back and forth over the last three innings. Down 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh Miguel Cabrera hit a routine fly ball that Oakland center fielder Coco Crisp dropped with two outs, allowing two runs to score. The A's came back with two runs in the eighth on a wild pitch and a home run. The Tigers then tied the game in the bottom of the eighth on a wild pitch, setting up the ninth inning win. Cabrera went 3 for 5, while Omar Infante and Jhonny Peralta added two hits each. Al Alburquerque pitched to one batter and got the win. Game three of the best-of-five series is set for Tuesday night in Oakland (9 PM).
