The Port Huron High Big Reds won their cross town football showdown over the Port Huron Northern Huskies 45-20 on Friday night. The teams combined to put up over 900 yards of offense in the game. The Big Reds Mark Chapman rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns, while also passing for 223 yards and a score. Dalton Beidler, Carl Portis-Hollier, and Collin Vani also had touchdowns for PHHS. Sophomore Alex Merchant passed for 324 yards and two touchdowns for the Huskies. Andrew Souphis had 121 yards receiving and a score. Erik Olsen and Bryce Van Horn also had touchdowns for Northern. The Huskies fall to 1-4 and the Big Reds improve to 4-1. Northern had six turnovers in the game.
