Port Huron City Council members tonight vote on the re-establishment of the MainStreet program for downtown promotions and historical preservation. The city has been overseeing downtown concerns over the past couple of years but a new group has sought to get the MainStreet organization back in town again. Councilmembers also begin the process of establishing ethics for city officials as prescribed in the new Charter that with an ordinance that gets it's first reading tonight. Other action expected includes the approval of a 10-thousand dollar grant for the purpose of opening the Acheson Tech Depot. Port Huron’s meeting gets underway at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Office Center. Marysville council also meets tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. with sign standards and a refuse collection contract on the agenda.
