Pioneers Pop Huskies 30-13



Cros-Lex opened the high school football season on Thursday night with a 30-13 victory over Port Huron Northern at Memorial Stadium.  Nathan Guitar starred for the Pioneers, rushing for 196 yards and three touchdowns, while adding another 105 yards passing.  Guitars scored on runs of 5, 1, and 30 yards.  Anwar Childers added an 18 yard TD run, and Robert Donnan kicked a shot field goal to round out the scoring for Cros-Lex.  Andrew Souphis caught a pair of touchdown passes from Blake Goulding for Northern.  The first from 32 yards, the second from 34 yards out.  The Huskies (0-1) face Fraser (0-1) in week two, while the Pioneers (1-0) take on Richmond (1-0).
