Max Scherzer threw seven shutout innings and struck out ten to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. Miguel Cabrera entered the Tigers record book with a home run in the first inning, giving him 30 in five straight seasons. Cabrera finished with two hits and two RBI. Delmon Young hit a two run home run and Omar Infante singled in the other Tigers run. Detroit plays Baltimore on Friday at Comerica Park.
