EMMETT WOMAN KILLED IN TUSCOLA COUNTY CRASH




On Sunday afternoon deputies from the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/motorcycle personal injury accident at the intersection of Saginaw Road & Washburn Road in Vassar Township. A 53-year-old Emmett, MI woman was following her husband WB on Saginaw Road on separate motorcycles.  The woman’s husband made it through the intersection unfortunately she was struck by a vehicle traveling SB on Washburn Road. The victim operator was transported to Caro Community Hospital via ambulance where she died of her injuries.  A helmet was worn. A 24-year-old Oxford woman, was the at-fault driver, who failed to stop for the stop sign, striking the motorcycle operator.  The Oxford woman was with her fiancé and two children who were not injured.  All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Investigations are continuing.
