HEALTH DPT SAYS NO SWIMMING AT SIX LOCAL BEACHES

The St. Clair County Health Department has issued a Swimming Advisory for six of the public beaches, due to high levels of the E. coli bacteria.  The advisory will stay in effect until the water can be determined safe for swimming.  The beaches are the Conger/Lighthouse beach, the Holland Road beach, Lakeside beach, Krafft Road beach, the Keewadhin Road beach, and the Lakeport State Park Campground beach.  All other beaches are open for use by the public.  For more information you can call the Water Quality Hotline 24-hours a day at 877-504-SWIM (7946).
