The National League scored early and often and beat the American League 8-0 on Tuesday night in the All-Star Game in Kansas City. The win gives the NL Champions home field advantage in this years World Series. Pablo Sandival of the Giants had a three run triple and his teammate Melky Cabrera added a single and a home run. It was a rough night for the Tigers, as Justin Verlander took the loss, allowing five runs, four hits, and two walks in his one inning of work. Prine Fielder went hitless in two at bats with a pair of fly outs, and Miguel Cabrera grounded into a double play in his only at bat.
