City council in Port Huron starting this week will take on meetings without paper....at least for the most part. Electronic tablets will be used by the board instead of volumes of paper. The cost savings in a years time could be considerable given the employee hours of correlating a hundred or so pages of material for each of seven councilmembers and a half dozen administrators. Councilmembers not familiar with the workings of the tablets were given lessons on how to use them.
