PAIR OF BUILDINGS IN HISTORIC DISTRICT SET FOR REVIEW
A former lawyer's office at 817 Pine Grove Avenue is one step away from a historic special use permit which would allow residential occupancy of the building. The three story brick building is set for a final City Council vote Monday. Meanwhile the question of demolition of St. Joseph's Rectory on the other side of town is again before the Historic District Commission in a meeting set for Tuesday night. Some have suggested a partial demolition would be more beneficial than destroying the entire building. The action was postponed earlier by the Commission which wanted to hear about options at the site.
