This is the last weekend for separate fire chiefs in Port Huron and Marysville as Tom Konick of Marysville becomes Port Huron’s chief tomorrow.  City councils in both towns approved the inter-local agreement allowing the partial merging of the two departments.  Officials believe residents won’t see any difference for now as each city will have separate departments, trucks and firefighters.
