Justin Verlander went seven strong innings to earn his seventh win of the season, as the Detroit Tigers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-3 on Tuesday night.  The Tigers have won three in a row.  Austin Jackson had a two run double as Detroit raced to a 5-0 lead early.  Delmon Young added a pair of RBI singles in the game, while Quitin Berry and Miguel Cabrera both had two hits and an RBI.  Game two of a three game series is set for Wednesday night.
