Jhonny Peralta made consecutive throwing errors with two out in the bottom of the eighth that allowed the go ahead run to score and gave the last place floundering Chicago Cubs a 4-3 win over the Detroit Tigers. The Cubs, who came into play 20 games under 500, raced out to a 3-0 lead before the Tigers scored three runs in the seventh to tie the score. Ramon Santiago singled in a run and Austin Jackson singled in two more during the rally. Game two of a three game series is set for Wednesday night in Chicago.
