PARADE GRAND MARSHAL ANNOUNCED

Marching bands, clowns, and lots of other entries are expected to be participating in this year's International Day Parade as sponsored by the Port Huron Rotary Club.  Parade Co-Chair John Adair tells us those wishing to take part should go online to www.paradeday.net for applications and other information. The parade route starts at Huron and Glenwood this year, then continues south to disband at Desmond Landing on the city's south side, which also sees the annual carnival and the Blue Water Fest.  It'll start at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday July 11th.  Wayne State's Troy Burrell, a Port Huron native who has signed with the Detroit Lions has been announced as this year's Grand Marshal.  “Circus” is the theme of this year's parade.
