Two final public meetings designed to gather community input regarding the future of McMorran Place start this week. The meetings will be facilitated by Randy Maiers, president of the Community Foundation of St. Clair County, and Denise Brooks, executive director of the Blue Water YMCA. Citizens from across the Blue Water Area are invited to attend any of the meetings. Each will take place in the Memorial Room at McMorran beginning at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, and Tuesday, June 19. "We believe that McMorran is a community asset and, as such, its future should be determined by the community," said Patti Samar, chair of the McMorran Authority.
