The North American Hockey League held its entry draft today, with the Port Huron Fighting Falcons making eight selections. Port Huron used its picks to take 4 forwards, 3 defensemen, and a goaltender. With their first pick, the 19th overall, the Falcons took forward Zach Badalamenti from Harrison Township, Michigan. Badalamenti played five games last season in the NAHL with the Michigan Warriors, scoring one goal. He was traded to Austin, but choose instead to play for New England in the EJHL where he had a goal and six assists in 20 games. The Falcons next pick came in the 5th round at 92nd overall and was Jordan Simmonds, a forward who played for the Atlanta Jr. Knights in the EJHL South. Simmonds had 17 goals and 19 assists in 38 games.
