State Representative Kurt Damrow of Port Austin is sponsoring a discussion on child abuse and family violence in Michigan on Wednesday, Feb. 11th in Caro. Speakers from across the state will address issues such as parental rights, the family court system, special consideration for relatives when children are placed into foster care, and raising awareness of child abuse.  Damrow has invited attorneys, medical and mental health professionals, law enforcement and social workers, child and domestic violence advocates and legislators to the event. It is open to the public and is being held  from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tuscola Technology Center, located at 1401 Cleaver Road in Caro.
