A Port Huron resident was arrested after allegedly pointing a long gun at several people in a residence along the 1500-block of Continental. Police say he was involved in a fight afterwards outside the home. He left, came back later and was then arrested.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says there's been a second arrest in the double slaying in Pontiac last Friday evening. It is a fifteen year old who is believed to have fired the weapon which killed the two victims, 52-year-old Loretta Fournier, formerly of Port Huron, and her friend 58-year-old Luann Robinson. Didn't take long for the City of St. Clair to find a filler for the Scott Adkins City Superintendent position. Adkins' resignation was read at a regular council meeting last night and city accountant Mike Booth got the nod for being in the position on an interim basis according to Mayor Bill Cedar. More than a few Canadians apparently took advantage of President’s Day sales at U.S. stores. The line-up back to Canada at the Blue Water Bridge reportedly stretched to near Water Street. Even the NEXUS lane was jammed. It was also a holiday in Canada as Ontario residents celebrated Family Day.
