DETROIT MAYOR JAILED 

A judge in Detroit has ordered Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick jailed for
violating terms of his bond. The order is related to  kilpatrick's recent trip to Windsor, Ontario, a violation of his bond because he didn't notify the court. He was supposed to give at least 48 hours notice on any travel outside of Michigan.   
   
BRIDGE CONSULTING FUNDS SOUGHT

The city of Port Huron, St. Clair County and a local business coalition are teaming together to hire a technical expert to help with matters pertaining to the expansion of the Blue Water Bridge Plaza.  Discussion of the item came up during last night's Board of Commissioner's committee meetings.  Commission Chair Wallace Evans tells us the Board last night also discussed a contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation having to do with various projects at the County Airport.  Evans says the facility will see further improvements as the County continues to attract airport business.  County Emergency Management Director Jeff Friedland also updated the Board on the annual Homeland Security and Emergency Management report.  The Board meets again on the 13th.

BOAT FATALITY STILL BEING INVESTIGATE

Saint Clair County Sheriff Deputies have identified the victim of a boating accident Tuesday night as an 18-year-old from Ira Township.  Chad Michael Rhoades was thrown from a jet boat when it rammed into a seawall at about 8-p-m in the St. Clair River off of Clay Township.  Four other operators of the vessel were taken to River District Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.  All were teenaged males from the Clay and Ira Township area. The accident remains under investigation and officials say possible charges against the boat operator may be filed pending review of the case by the Saint Clair County Prosecutors office.

AMBER ALERT ISSUED BY FLINT POLICE

The Flint Police Department issued an Amber Alert late Wednesday for a missing 7-year-old girl believed to be in extreme danger.
Alyssa Katelynn Webster -- described as about 4 feet tall, 65 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, wearing a neon green tank top and shorts -- was last seen at about 6 a.m. Wednesday with an adult couple...one of whom had a prior conviction for criminal sexual conduct believed to be in a red Chevrolet Lumina bearing the license number bad8372. The front windshield has a sticker with a heart and flames. Any information should be given to a 911 operator.

BAKER COLLEGE GEARS UP FOR NEW SEASON

Baker College of Port Huron is enrolling students for the fall quarter.
