Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies say an incident with a horse Friday morning left a woman hospitalized. Central Dispatch had received a 9-1-1 call regarding a woman who fell off a horse on Snover Rd. east of Ruth Rd. She was unresponsive lying in the roadway. The initial investigation indicated that 42-year-old Tammy Spaulding of Carsonville was riding her horse on Snover Rd. when a passing vehicle spooked the horse causing Spaulding to be thrown off. According to investigating Deputies, Spaulding was taken to Deckerville hospital where she was later flown by Lifenet. Deputies were assisted by Deckerville Fire Department and Sanilac EMS.
