Tigers Win Game One



The Detroit Tigers took a 1-0 series lead on the Oakland A's with a 3-2 win in Oakland on Friday night.  Detroit got all three of its runs in the top of the first on RBI singles from Miguel Cabrera and Alex Avila, and double play ground out.  Max Scherzer went seven innings and allowed just two runs on three hits, while striking out 11.  Tigers pitcher combined for 16 strike outs in the win.  Game two of the best-of-five series is Saturday night in Oakland.
