So, next week I'm taking my yearly break. Ordinarily I'd take the family Up North for a week, but this summer we are staycationing. It's not all bad - we've had a great summer - a busy summer! We are also preparing to move into a new house, one that is all of about four blocks from our current home - but a move is a move, so I will spend the better part of my week cleaning out the garage, throwing things away, packing boxes, weeding out clothes that no longer fit or are no longer in style. I also want to get to the beach. It's always this time of year, in August, when I begin to realize that summer is slipping away. It's getting dark at 8:30 now! So in the next couple weeks, I want to have as many fires in the fireplace on the deck as possible. I want to grill and eat sweet corn for every meal.
While I'm gone, I have recruited some very capable people to fill in for me on the WPHM Morning Show. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, Port Huron Yacht Club Commodore Dorothy Latham, Garth Kriewall from the PHASD Board of Education and St. Clair County RESA, local historian, author and train-guy T.J.
