Cabrera And Fielder Lead Tigers

Miguel Cabrera hit another home run, his sixth in four games, and drove in three runs as the Detroit Tigers came from behind on Thursday night to beat the Minnesota Twins 7-6 at Comerica Park.  Prince Fielder had two RBI, including driving in the go ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning.  Game two of a four game series is set for Friday night in Detroit.

Howard Blanks Hawks

Jimmy Howard made 28 saves to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 2-0 victory in game four of their playoff series with the Chicago Blackhawks.  Detroit leads the series 3-1.  Jakub Kindl scored a power play goal in the second period and Dan Cleary scored an empty net goal in the games final minute for Detroit.  Game five is Saturday night in Chicago.

Despite Delays, Tigers Sweep Tribe

Despite two rain delays totalling an one and 52 minutes, the Detroit Tigers beat the Cleveland Indians 11-7 on Wednesday night to sweep a two game series.  Miguel Cabrera had a home run and three RBI and has now hit five home runs in the last three games for the Tigers.  Victor Martinez added two RBI and Brayan Pena had three hits and an RBI.  The Tigers are a half game out of
