Wilson Valdez exaccuted a squeeze bunt in the bottom of the 10th to push across the game winning run in a 6-5 win for the Cincinnati Reds over the Detroit Tigers on Friday night. Down 4-0 in the game the Tigers battled back to take a 5-4 lead in the 8th, but the bull pen was unable to hold that lead. Brennan Boesch had three hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs for the Tigers. Miguel Cabrera also drove in two runs and Delmon Young hit solo home run. Joey Votto had three hits, including a three-run home run for the Reds. Game two of a three game series is set for Saturday in Cincinnati.
