The North American Hockey League draft is scheduled for 2 PM on Thursday. Teams are allowed to fill out their protected roster until they reach 30 players. The Port Huron Fighting Falcons have 22 players protected, meaning than can take eight players in the draft. The Falcons have a first round pick and two fifth round picks, but do not have a pick in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th rounds of the draft do to trades made last season that brought Ryan Nick, Nolan Valleau, and Joe Pizza to the team. All three players are on the current protected roster. Also on the teams protected list are Brett D'Andrea (Marysville), Nick Horne (Marysville), Brandon Archibald (Port Huron), and Dillon Pfeifer who played for Port Huron Northern last season.
