PORT HURON LOOKS AT WATER STREET MARINA AGAIN

It appears the City of Port Huron will be reclaiming rights to the Water Street Marina after a two year effort by an Ohio firm failed to find financing for a hotel development.  City Manager Bruce Brown earlier this year had feared such an occurrence but says it is now possible that a different group could find a similar interest in the site. The council has a re-conveyance resolution before them this evening.  Also on the agenda are over a dozen code violation cases that include demolition of various dwellings due to safety concerns.  Half are up for final action while others will see public hearings scheduled.  Tonight’s meeting is at 7:00 p.m.  Marysville also has a city council meeting scheduled for tonight at 7:30 p.m. Marysville and Port Huron will be looking at annual fee adjustments.
