Clarence B. Casey
Clarence B. Casey, age 77, of Fort Gratiot died suddenly of natural
causes on October 20, 2014 in McLaren Port Huron. He was born April
30, 1937 in Fulton, Kentucky to Lois B. and Mary N. Casey. He served
in the U.S. Army and worked for most of his life as a seafarer in the
Great Lakes region. He married Mary Andrews on September 9, 1983 in
Port Huron. Clarence was an active outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing,
hunting, and especially bow-hunting for deer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Casey, 4 children, Denise Hays,
Dan (Margaret) Casey, David (Kelli) Casey, and John Casey, 2 step-
children, Tim (Amy) Andrews and Jill (Bill) Leonick, 10 grandchildren,
6 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Madge Parker,
Jonelle (Gary) McVay, Juanita (Earl) Robinette, L. Carol (Jerry) Fowlkes,
2 brothers, D. Harold (Nancy) Casey, William (Debbie) Casey, and many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2
sisters, Norma Cribbs, and E. Jane Stuckey.
A funeral service will take place at 11 AM Friday in the Smith
Family Funeral Home – North, 1525 Hancock Street with The Rev. Max
Amstutz officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens
Cemetery. His sons and grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will
be Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Memorials may be made to his family.
