EVERYBODY LOVES A PARADE
A good crowd and great weather for Wednesday's Port Huron Rotary Club International Day Parade. The parade featured marching bands from both Port Huron High Schools plus several other musical entries from the region. A handful of dance and acrobatic groups also were in the line-up of some100-entries. Parade officials said the event went off without a hitch. It was noted that several politicians were in the parade thanks to this being an election year. The route was similar to past years in going through downtown Port Huron but started at the north end of Huron Avenue and ended at Desmond Landing for the newly located carnival activities.
