What to keep and what to cut... that's always the question for governmental units struggling to balance their general funds in the face of shrinking revenue, especially since the recession of 2008.  Committee sessions Thursday night for the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners saw discussion on what the general fund for the next fiscal year will look like. Administrator Bill Kauffman says county officials will be meeting next week for a budget workshop, but what target numbers for cuts for next year remain unknown, as certain indicators still need to come in.
