Body found along Keewhadin Road identified

The body of a man found dead in a Fort Gratiot Township ditch has been identified. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, 28 year old Kevin Anderson Junior from Port Huron was shot and then left alongside Keewahdin Road during the early morning hours Sunday. Authorities say nearby residents  heard a noise shortly before 4am, believed to be the sound of a car striking a deer. Witnesses saw a car parked along Keewhadin Road perform a u-turn and then leave westbound. Anderson’s body was discovered a few hours later in a nearby ditch. He  is believed to have been shot alongside the road and his body dragged into the ditch.  Anyone with any information regarding the shooting is asked to contact Detective Haley Bonner at (810) 987-1728. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s department is investigating the death of a man who’s body was located in a ditch in Fort Gratiot Township Sunday morning. Sheriff Tim Donnellon tells WPHM that the deceased is a Port Huron man who was born in 1991. He says the death is suspicious and that detectives from his office, with help from the Michigan State Police’s mobile crime lab, are investigating the cause.  The body was discovered near the intersection of Keewahdin and Campbell Roads, resulting in the closure of Keewhadin for crime scene investigations. The name of the victim is currently being withheld until investigations are complete.
