Celebrating it’s 25th anniversary in 2019, the annual offshore power boat races will once again be returning to St. Clair and will play host to a new championship series. Announced this week, the St. Clair River Classic will become a part of a new offshore racing series – the American Power Boat Association championships. The St. Clair Event was previously sanctioned by OPA racing, which merged to form the American Power Boat Association this fall. The 25th annual St. Clair River Classic, in conjunction with the annual St. Clair Riverfest, will take place July 26th through 28th this coming summer. In previous years, the St. Clair Riverfest has featured a multitude of national recording artists who take to a floating stage in the St. Clair River.
