Port Huron and St. Clair re-elect mayors

Port Huron Mayor Pauline Repp has been re-elected to another term. Repp fended off challengers Scott Worden, Garth Gurnsey, and Trey Smith last night – receiving over 4300 votes, more than twice as much as her nearest competitor. Two new Port Huron City Council Members were elected last night and one current member was re-elected. Newcomer Jeff Pemberton received the most votes, followed by incumbent Aniata Ashford and Lisa Beedon.  All three will take to the city council chambers effective next week’s regular session meeting. A total of eight people vied for three positions on Port Huron City Council.

In St. Clair, Bill Ceder squeaked out a narrow victory over challenger Katherine Huffmaster by only 43 votes last night.
