Double-digit dip in gas prices

Gas prices are dropping in Michigan, down about 12 cents in the past week to a statewide average of $2.88 a gallon. That’s four cents less than a month ago and 35 cents more than at this time last year. AAA of Michigan says this is the type of downward movement we normally see at the pump during the fall. Across the local area, pumps in Lapeer are asking $2.90 a gallon, while gas is $2.89 in Sandusky and in the Port Huron area, pumps are asking about $2.85 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
