Alcohol suspected in Brown City rollover accident

A Brown City man is recovering from injuries after a rollover accident yesterday morning. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 1am on Maple Valley Road north of Wilcox Road in Maple Valley Township. Authorities say a 25 year old Brown City man was traveling southbound when he lost control of his pickup truck. The vehicle left the roadway and turned over on its side in a ditch. The driver was ejected from the truck. Passerby’s who heard the man calling for help and contacted authorities. He was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
