Kyle Bailey, a four-time organ donor recipient, will take to his bicycle tomorrow and begin a 1400 mile trek to raise awareness for organ and tissue donations. Bailey, a Port Huron area native, will leave from Ann Arbor tomorrow with Orlando, Florida as his destination. To become an organ donor in Michigan, you currently have to “opt-in” at the Secretary of State’s office. Bailey, speaking to our Paul Miller yesterday morning, says he would like to see that changed to an “opt-out” policy. Bailey is a four time transplant recipient and says you can help save someone’s life by becoming an organ an tissue donor… as a health body can contribute up to 75 organs and tissues to someone in need.
