Active shooter training to be held at Port Huron Northern

It’s called A.L.I.C.E and is the latest training standard for first responders in active shooter situations. Alice, which stands for alert, lock-down, inform, counter, evacuate, will be the subject of a training next week at Port Huron Northern High School. The event, being put on by Port Huron Schools and local emergency personnel, will be held Wednesday March 28th. Port Huron Schools Superintendent Jamie Cain says the training will allow authorities and district employees to learn how to deal with an active shooter event. It is being provided free of charge to nearly 100 invited participants. Additional A.L.I.C.E. sessions are scheduled for other Port Huron Schools buildings next month.
