Anthony Mantha and Andreas Athanasiou each had two goals and an assist in the victory, while Dylan Larkin scored a goal and assisted on two others. Mike Green also had a three point game, all on assists. Justin Abdelkader, Gus Nyquist, and Luke Glendening rounded out the scoring with a goal each. The game featured a brawl with six minutes to play in the third period that saw four players get ejected, including the Wings Luke Witkowski and Mantha, who combined to get 62 minutes in penalties called against them. The Wings host Buffalo on Friday.
